Telehealth Consent
Last updated: 28 June 2026 · Draft
Draft for review — these terms must be reviewed and finalised by a Nigerian-qualified lawyer before launch.
This consent must be reviewed against MDCN telemedicine guidance and Nigerian clinical and data-protection requirements, and the current Nigerian emergency number inserted, before it is published or relied upon.
Kansei Health provides care online, through our website and app. Before you use our services, it is important that you understand what telehealth care involves. By using Kansei, you acknowledge and consent to the following.
1. Telehealth has limitations
Online consultation is a convenient way to receive care, but it is not the same as an in-person visit. A clinician caring for you remotely relies on the information you give and cannot carry out a physical examination. Telehealth may not be suitable for every condition, and a clinician may ask you to be seen in person where that is the safer option.
2. Prescriptions are at a doctor’s discretion
Any prescription is issued only at the independent clinical judgement of a Nigerian-licensed doctor. Using Kansei does not guarantee that you will be prescribed a particular treatment, or any treatment at all.
3. Kansei is not for emergencies
Kansei is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or experiencing a medical emergency, do not use Kansei — go to the nearest hospital or call local emergency services. (The current Nigerian emergency number is to be inserted here before launch.)
4. Electronic communication
You consent to receive care-related communication from us electronically — for example through the Kansei app, by email, and on WhatsApp. We will use these channels to share information about your consultation, prescription and delivery, and to follow up on your care.
5. Your information
So that a clinician can care for you safely, you agree to provide accurate and complete information about your health, and you consent to your information being shared with the treating doctor and the pharmacist involved in your care. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Withdrawing your consent
You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at hello@kanseihealth.com. Withdrawing consent will mean we can no longer provide telehealth care to you, but it does not affect care that has already been provided.
